Rev. Cecil and Mrs. Laura Daniels have pastored at CPC since January of 1980. Their dedication and service to the church has made a tremendous difference in the lives of thousands of people. Bro. Daniels, ordained in the United Pentecostal Church in 1975, assisted in churches in California prior to his pastorates in Mississippi and Louisiana. Pastor Cecil and Laura Daniels
Bro. Daniels serves the Louisiana District UPC as Sunday School Superintendent. He was elected to that position in 1996, and has led the district to record-setting "Save Our Children" offerings, nationally renown children's ministry conferences, and a greater depth of ministry in Sunday Schools across the state, and the nation. At the national level, he serves on the Sunday School division board as chairman of the B.R.E.A.D. committee, which produces an annual bible reading guide, promoting the reading of God's word throughout the year. Sis. Daniels ministers in numerous capacities as well. Her insight, spirituality, and humor have inspired those at CPC, as well as many attending singles conferences, marriage seminars, and ladies' functions throughout the state. She holds a sociology degree from Northwestern State University. Together, Bro. & Sis. Daniels, along with their two sons, Tim and Andy, have worked to build CPC into the church it is today, from a small home missions work of only 7 original members in 1980. Bro. Ed and Martha Arrington have been a tremendous blessing to CPC. Bro. Arrington is a powerful bible teacher and preacher, and is particularly effective in leading the administrative affairs of CPC. His background in the corporate world has equipped him to serve the church in making our operations more efficient and effective.
Bro. Arrington coordinates our Men’s ministry, and provides direction for our Sunday School, Ladies, Public Relations, and other departments of the church. Sis. Arrington works with the younger children, and their daughter, D’Lisa, coordinates our children’s puppet ministry. |
Wayne and Charlotte Watson have been a part of CPC since February, 2000. Bro. Watson, a General Licensed minister in the United Pentecostal Church since 1983, has assisted in churches in Texas, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Bro. Watson holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Columbia State University, and is involved with the community through his secular work. He currently serves as Director of Christian Education at CPC, which encompasses Sunday School teacher training, marriage enrichment, and other focused group seminars and ministerial training. Sis. Watson works with Bro. Watson in this endeavor, providing valuable assistance in research and planning/organizing. |
